Born and raised in LA’s San Fernando Valley, Kevin Roentgen (pronounced ‘Rent-Gen’) is a Brit Award-winning, gold and platinum recording artist, composer, singer/songwriter and record producer who initially came up in gritty early 90’s Hollywood as frontman for the bands SOUL (Elektra Records), and American Pearl (WindUp Records), whose debut was produced by Sex Pistol, Steve Jones.

Kevin would later join LA band, Orson (Mercury Records), produced by Noah Shain, whose debut single, “No Tomorrow”, and album “Bright Idea” shot to the #1 position on the UK charts upon release, landing them multiple appearances on BBC’s "Top of the Pops", sold-out arena and stadium tours supporting the likes of Duran Duran and Robbie Williams, and an invitation to play the "Concert For Diana" at Wembley Stadium on a bill with Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Lily Allen and others.

After Orson's sophomore follow-up release, Culture Vultures (Mercury UK), the band members took hiatus to pursue other musical avenues. Kevin moved back to the States where he took a deep dive into composing for TV with credits including Fox primetime shows such as Empire, The Orville, Gotham and The Following, as well as producing singles and EPs for various indie, rock and pop artists, including YouTube sensations Cimorelli (Universal Music), Analog Smith and Hott Mess.

In 2012, Roentgen formed the rock trio called Goldsboro, whose debut received rotation on KLOS' Jonesy's Jukebox and also drew praise in the UK rock/indie press, landing them a run of support slots with Guns N’ Roses. Their song “Angels” was featured in the FX series, Sons Of Anarchy. In 2017, Kevin joined up with Grammy-nominated rock band Buckcherry as a guitar player, putting him on the road for the better part of three years. In 2020, as the covid pandemic brought the touring world to a halt, he took the opportunity to respectfully step away from the band to spend more time with his family.

Having not been off the road long enough at that point to establish himself in his new home of Franklin Tennessee (just outside of Nashville), Kevin quickly took advantage of the “downtime” in 2020-21 to begin building his own private recording studio, where he now works full time, recording, producing and collaborating with up-and-coming artists, bands and songwriters.

“It's completely crazy to me.. I've been so fortunate to have made records in some of the world's most iconic recording studios (Sunset Sound, A&M/Henson, Ocean Way, Ardent, Towhouse London, Mayfair, BBC Maida Vale, NRG and more), and with some of the greatest producers and engineers of my generation.. legends like GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine), Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, Bad Religion), Bill Kennedy (Nine Inch Nails), Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Temple of the Dog), Joe Hardy (ZZ Top, The Replacements), Ben Grosse (Blink 182, Danny Elfman) and many others. Over the last 30 years, having the opportunity and vantage point of literally looking over the shoulders of these super talents, through countless hours as they work has been, for me, nothing short of a hands-on master class, and a unique experience I want to share with others – of which I'm so extremely grateful."
